Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through July 28

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, July 22 to Sunday, July 28, 2019.

Oakhurst coroner’s case
On Tuesday, July 23 at 5:11 a.m. MCSO was called to a coroner’s case on a resident in a home on Highway 49. The death appeared to be natural.

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, July 23 at 6:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Royal Oaks Drive regarding found property. A report was written, property obtained and case closed.

Raymond report of phone scam
On Tuesday, July 23 at 9:13 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation regarding a phone scam. The deputy contacted the victim by phone as requested. It was recommend the case to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads.

Bass Lake theft
On Tuesday, July 23 at 3:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation regarding a theft report. It was recommended the case be closed due to a lack of investigative leads.

Bass Lake theft
On Tuesday, July 23 at 3:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 432 regarding a theft from a vehicle. The case was suspended due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, July 23 at 7:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Royal Oaks Drive regarding a theft of tools. With no possible suspects, a report was taken.

North Fork weapons
On Tuesday, July 23 at 11:45 p.m. deputies responded to Tu Nobi Way regarding a shots fired call. A report was taken and charges were requested.

Oakhurst lost property
On Wednesday, July 24 at 10:56 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Liberty Drive regarding lost property. A report was written and case closed.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Wednesday, July 24 at 10:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Highway 41 regarding a vandalism. It was recommend case to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads.

North Fork warrant arrest
On Thursday, July 25 at 9:39 a.m. the Madera Sheriff’s POP Team conducted follow-up investigation with Code Enforcement and the Fire Marshal in the area of Willow Creek Road and Church Street. During this time a male subject was contacted who had a warrant out of Madera County. He was arrested, transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Thursday, July 25 at 12:45 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s POP Team conducted a warrant service on an individual on Highway 41. A male subject was contacted and arrested for a felony warrant out of Madera County. He was transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold juvenile danger to self
On Thursday, July 25 at 3:20 p.m. a deputy responded for a report of a juvenile that wanted to harm themselves. A deputy arrived and the juvenile was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to Valley Children’s Hospital.

Bass Lake public intoxication
On Thursday, July 25 at 8:33 p.m. a deputy was flagged down on Road 432 regarding a subject who had vomited and was intoxicated in his car in the upper parking lot. The subject was contacted and determined to be a passenger in the vehicle. He was arrested and transported to MDOC where he was booked.

Raymond theft
On Friday, July 26 at 1:05 p.m. a deputy responded to Falcon Drive for a report of a stolen motorcycle. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. The motorcycle was entered into the communications system and the case was closed pending further suspect leads.

Oakhurst vehicle towed due to expired registration
On Friday, July 26 at 3:19 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Highway 41 and Road 425A on a vehicle for expired registration. The driver was issued a citation and the vehicle was towed due to the vehicle registration being expired over six months.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, July 26 at 5:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 222 for a report of a theft of a chainsaw and other items from the bed of a pickup truck.

North Fork narcotics and warrant
On Friday, July 26 at 9:55 p.m. a deputy self-initiated and conducted a vehicle stop on Road 225. The driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and a $25,000 misdemeanor traffic warrant out of Madera County. The case will be forwarded to Madera County DA’s office to pursue charges.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Saturday, July 27 at 8:47 p.m. a deputy self-initiated and conducted a vehicle stop conducted on Highway 41. The male driver was cited on $70,000 misdemeanor traffic warrant out of Kern County. Warrant cleared by arrest.
