Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through July 14

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, July 8 to Sunday, July 14, 2019.

Oakhurst burglary
On Tuesday July 9 at 9:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation regarding a report of a burglary. It was recommended the case be closed due to a lack of investigative leads.

O’Neals missing juvenile located
On Tuesday July 9 at 12:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a runaway female juvenile. The missing juvenile was entered into the missing person system and subsequently removed from the system due to being located.

North Fork family disturbance involving children
On Tuesday July 9 at 7:51 a.m. a deputy responded to a call regarding a family disturbance involving children. The case was forwarded to Madera County Child Protective Services for follow up.

Oakhurst vehicle towed for excessive expired registration and location
On Wednesday July 10 at 3:01 p.m. the Madera Sheriff Problem Oriented Police Team was conducting warrant services with the mountain division. The team assisted mountain patrol with a suspicious vehicle in the 49000 block of Canoga Drive. The vehicle was subsequently towed for excessive expired registration and being parked on a county roadway.

Oakhurst found property
On Wednesday July 10 at 6:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding found property.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Thursday July 11 at 7:39 a.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a vandalism. A deputy arrived and learned unknown individuals pulled into the parking lot and broke the tail lights and a head light of a vehicle. Video footage was requested and a report was written.

Coarsegold possible human skull found
On Thursday July 11 at 5:16 p.m. the Madera County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Skyline Ridge Road in regards to a possible human skull found on Veater Ranch Road. An investigation was conducted and a report was taken to be forwarded to detectives.

North Fork narcotics
On Thursday July 11 at 10:28 p.m. a deputy spoke with a male who was walking the area of Road 222 and Amber Lane. The male was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and arrested, issued a citation and promised to appeared at a later court date.

Coarsegold pubic intoxication
On Thursday July 11 at 10:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to an intoxicated female subject who might be suicidal. An investigation was conducted and a report was taken. The female subject was transported to Madera DOC for being intoxicated in public. Forward copy of report to Madera County DA’s office for prosecution.

North Fork warrant and suspended license
On Thursday July 11 at 11:35 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Road 225 and Road 233 on a vehicle with suspended registration. The male driver was found to have an out-of-county no bail warrant and to be driving on a suspended license. The male was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Friday, July 12 at 4:48 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 41 near Road 415 on a vehicle with expired registration. The male driver was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The male was arrested and issued a citation.

Oakhurst report of gunshot
On Friday, July 12 at 10:31 a.m. deputies responded to the 40000 block of Oak Park Way for a report of a gunshot. Deputies arrived and contacted several individuals in the area. One of the individuals had a misdemeanor warrant and was cited and released.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Friday, July 12 at 1:25 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 35000 block of Douglas Trail in regards to a coroner’s case. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. The case was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Chief Coroner for final disposition.

Raymond report of threats
On Friday, July 12 at 3:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Front Street regarding a report of threats. This incident is for documentation only. Case to be closed.

Bass Lake cardiac arrest and coroner’s report
On Friday, July 12 at 6:07 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 53000 block of Road 432 in regards to a cardiac arrest which afterwards turned into a coroner’s report. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Case was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Chief Coroner for final disposition.

Coarsegold welfare check and narcotics
On Friday, July 12 at 10:09 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 31000 block of Apache regarding a welfare check. During the investigation a subject was arrested for narcotic charges.

North Fork narcotics
On Friday, July 12 at 11:59 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Road 274 and Road 225 on a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign. The female driver was arrested and booked on various felony and misdemeanor charges.

On Saturday, July 13 at 12:50 a.m. a male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine during a subject check on the 31000 block of Road 222.

Bass Lake operating a watercraft under the influence
On Saturday, July 13 at 5 p.m. a deputy contacted a subject on a jet ski on Bass Lake near Miller’s Landing. He was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to MDOC. Refer to the DA for charges filed.

North Fork man run over by vehicle, woman arrested on felony assault
On Saturday, July 13 at 6:32 p.m. deputies were flagged down by a citizen stating that a male had been run over by a vehicle. The male victim had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. A female suspect was identified and later arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC on felony assault charges and fleeing the scene of an accident.

Coarsegold domestic dispute
On Saturday, July 13 at 11:51 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a domestic dispute. One female was taken into custody.

Coarsegold domestic violence report
On Saturday, July 13 at 11:47 p.m. a deputy responded to the 30000 blk of Yosemite Springs Parkway in regards to a domestic violence report. An investigation was completed and the suspect was unable to be located. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.
