Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Apr. 28

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Apr. 22 to Sunday, Apr. 28, 2019.

Raymond coroner’s report
On Monday, April 22 at 4:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 613 in regards to a welfare check. Upon arrival, the subject in question was located inside the residence and found to be deceased. Death appears to be natural. Report forwarded to the coroner division for review.

North Fork narcotics citation
On Monday, April 22 at 11:20 p.m. a subject was contacted in the area of road 200 and Leprechaun Lane who was found to be in possession of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine. Subject was cited and released at the scene.

Coarsegold civil dispute
On Tuesday, April 23 at 1:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Deadwood Lookout Road in regards to a civil dispute. A report was taken for documentation only.

Ahwahnee general incident
On Tuesday, April 23 at 2:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation in regards to a general incident.

Coarsegold theft of currency
On Tuesday, April 23 at 6 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a theft of currency. Information was obtained for a theft report.

Oakhurst scam
On Wednesday, April 24 at 9:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation for a report of a phone scam that occurred in the 38000 block of Golden Ball Drive. Unknown individuals called the victim and said his social security card was found in a truck near the southern US/Mexico boarder and that the vehicle also contained drugs, blood and cash. The victim was told he needed to provide his personal and banking information to them and he needed to withdraw all his money from the bank and send it to them via green dot card. A fraud alert was placed on the victims credit and a report was written.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, April 24 at 1:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation for a report of funds stolen from an EBT card. A report was written.

Coarsegold possible theft, threats
On Wednesday, April 24 at 12:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding theft of a tablet computer device. The victim advised that her brother-in-law had possibly stolen her tablet and is a convicted felon out of Oklahoma. She was also threatened and the subject had multiple firearms at the residence. Refer report to the DA’s office for charges filed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Wednesday, April 24 at 3:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Lucky Ridge Place regarding an attempted burglary. The suspect(s) stole outdoor solar yard lights and cut the screen to the outside bathroom window. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Bass Lake felony warrant arrest
On Wednesday, April 24 at 9:55 p.m. deputies responded to the 54000 block of Crane Valley Road to attempt contact with a male who had an outstanding felony warrant. The male was located and arrested and transported to Madera DOC and booked for his outstanding felony warrant.

Coarsegold possible narcotics
On Thursday, April 25 at 4:01 a.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a female possibly under the influence of narcotics. The subject was booked into DOC.

Oakhurst report of fraud
On Thursday, April 25 at 9:05 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding unlawful purchases on her credit card. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Thursday, April 25 at 10:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a possible controlled substance found. The item was booked into the Oakhurst property room for destruction. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold juvenile danger to self
On Thursday, April 25 at 2:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding an out of control juvenile. The juvenile became upset with his guardian and kicked at him. He takes medication and suffers from depression. He was taken under a mental health evaluation hold to Valley Children’s Hospital. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold domestic battery and negligent discharge of a firearm
On Thursday, April 25 at 9:17 p.m. deputies responded to a domestic dispute. The suspect was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery and negligent discharge of a firearm. The suspect was transported to the Madera Department of Corrections for processing. Case forwarded to the district attorney for prosecution.
