Madera County Sheriff’s Log for the Week Ending December 16, 2019

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office reports taken locally from Tuesday, December 10, to Monday, December 16, 2019.

North Fork Probation Violation
On Tuesday, December 10, at 10:00 a.m., deputies responded to Road 200 to attempt to contact a subject that was wanted by Probation for a violation. The subject was contacted and later transported and booked at DOC for the violation.

Coarsegold Sex Offender
On Tuesday, December 10, at 12:13 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 400 in regards to a sexual offense call. A report was written and forwarded to detectives for follow-up.

Coarsegold Domestic Disturbance
On Tuesday, December 10, at 4:54 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Chukchansi Road regarding a domestic disturbance. The male subject was arrested and booked into Madera County DOC. Case forwarded to Madera County DA’s office for filing of charges and Madera County CPS for review.

Coarsegold Juveniles Fighting
On Tuesday, December 10, at 8:31 p.m., a deputy responded to the area of Kings Canyon Court S. for a disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined that two juveniles got into a fight, with no serious injuries. Report was generated for documentation purposes.

Coarsegold Vandalism
On Tuesday, December 10, at 10:43 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane regarding vandalism. A report was written.

Oakhurst Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, December 11, at 9:41 a.m., a deputy contacted a subject in the area Hwy 41 in Oakhurst, which resulted in a warrant arrest. Report written and case closed by arrest.

North Fork Danger to Self
On Thursday, December 12, at 2:27 p.m., a School Resource Deputy was advised by a school psychologist that a juvenile student on Road 228 was a possible W&I 5150 subject. The juvenile student was determined to be a danger to herself and a protective hold was placed. Forwarded to Madera County CPS for follow up. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst Shoplifting Theft
On Thursday, December 12, at 4:05 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to CA-49 in Oakhurst regarding a shoplifting theft. The suspect was contacted and cited for misdemeanor theft per a citizens arrest. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst Danger To Self
On Thursday, December 12, at 10:03 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 222 for a possible suicidal subject. A subject was contacted and determined to be a danger to himself. He was transported for a mental health evaluation.

Coarsegold Danger To Self
On Friday, December 13, at 12:04 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Meadow Lane in Coarsegold regarding a male subject who was possibly suicidal. The involved male/patient was placed on a W&I 5150 hold and transported by EMS to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Oakhurst Merchandise Theft
On Saturday, December 14, at 5:44 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to CA-49 for a report of a theft of a large amount of merchandise. It was reported that the female suspect ran out of the store and got into a white vehicle which then fled the scene. The vehicle and suspects were later located and arrested and booked into Madera County DOC on several charges.

Coarsegold Suspected Foul Play
On Saturday, December 14, at 4:46 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to take a report of suspected foul play related a to death in Fresno County. An investigation was conducted and a report was written for documentation.

Coarsegold Criminal Threats
On Saturday, December 14, at 10:19 p.m., deputies were dispatched to North Dome Drive for a report of criminal threats. The subject was found to be on probation for criminal threats. The male subject was arrested for a probation violation and a new charge of felony criminal threats and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold Vandalism
On Sunday, December 15, at 12:17 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 416 in regards to vandalism that occurred to signage on Road 416 and some items on private property. Investigation conducted and case closed due due to lack of suspect leads.

North Fork Family Disturbance
On Sunday, December 15, at 3:09 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 222 for a medial call involving a family disturbance with siblings. Upon arrival, family members did not want to press charges and medical care was refused. Case closed, report written for documentation.

North Fork Forgery
On Sunday, December 15, at 3:12 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 222 in the County of Madera regarding a verbal disturbance. While on scene several counterfeit bills were turned over to deputy. A report was written, report forwarded to the Secret Service for review.

North Fork Burglary
On Monday, December 16, at 10:39 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 228 in North Fork for a burglary of two chain saws from a locked garage. Investigation was conducted and case closed due to lack of suspect leads.
