Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through June 10

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, June 4 to Sunday, June 10, 2018.

Oakhurst missing juvenile
On Monday, June 4 at 12:37 a.m. a deputy responded in regards to a runaway juvenile report. A report was written for
documentation purposes and the juvenile was entered into the missing persons database as a runaway.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Monday, June 4 at 9:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation in regards to a vandalism that occurred in the 49000 of Coller Holler Lane. A report was taken for documentation.

Oakhurst dog bite
On Monday, June 4 at 10:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Victoria Lane for a report of a dog bite. The victim stated that he was near the Oakhurst Library when a black pitbull attacked him. The victim was taken to the hospital and a report was written and forwarded to Madera County Animal Control for review.

Coarsegold trespassing
On Monday, June 4 at 11:03 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Oneida Avenue regarding trespassing. Report written and case closed.

Coarsegold warrant 
On Monday, June 4 at 2:22 p.m. a deputy contacted a male subject located at the 35000 block of Hwy 41 regarding a warrant. Report written and case closed.

Coarsegold dispatch regarding juvenile
On Monday, June 4 at 3:09 p.m.. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Cavin Lane regarding a juvenile. Report written and case closed.

North Fork illegal marijuana grow
On Monday, June 4 at 3:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a possible illegal outdoor marijuana grow. A
phone report was taken and will be forwarded to Madera County Marijuana Enforcement Team for follow up.

Coarsegold report of cruelty to animal
On Monday, June 4 at 5:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 43000 block of Wells Road West in Coarsegold, regarding a report of a cruelty to animal incident. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for review and/or the filing of related charge.

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, June 5 at 1:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a suspicious subject. Upon arrival the subject had walked away leaving his bicycle behind. A search of the area met with negative results. During the investigation no crime was found to have occurred. The bicycle was recovered as Found Property and booked at the Sheriff’s Oakhurst Substation.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Tuesday, June 5 at 8:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 40000 block of Hwy 41 in Oakhurst regarding a vandalism. A report was written, evidence obtained, and case closed.

Coarsegold report of man exposing himself
On Tuesday, June 5 at 9:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Highway 41 and Road 415 for a report of a male who exposed himself to a person in a vehicle. A report was written and sent to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review.

Oakhurst possible threats
On Tuesday, June 5 at 10:20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation in regards to a possible threats investigation. A report was taken for documentation.

Oakhurst report of domestic violence in Napa County
On Tuesday, June 5 at 11:01 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the incident occurred in Napa County. A report was taken for documentation only.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, June 5 at 11:40 a.m. a deputy was flagged down in regards to a person who was having suicidal thoughts. A report was taken and the patient was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Ahwahnee danger to self
On Tuesday, June 5 at 12:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-49 in regards to a subject who had attempted suicide. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

North Fork verbal disturbance
On Tuesday, June 5 at 11:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a verbal disturbance. A report was written and the case was closed.

Oakhurst report of altercation
On Tuesday, June 5 at 12:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Road 426 in regards to an altercation that taken place several days prior in the 49000 block of Road 426. A report was taken for documentation only.

Coarsegold report of fraud
On Tuesday, June 5 at 2:10 p.m. a cadet was dispatched to the 41000 block of Lilly Mountain Drive in regards to a fraud report.

Bass Lake arrest for possession of stolen vehicle and plates
On Tuesday, June 5 at 8:41 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a business located within the 41000 block of Road 222, regarding a report of a female in possession of a stolen vehicle. The female was identified and found to have an outstanding felony no bail violation of probation warrant for her arrest. During the investigation it was confirmed the vehicle she was in possession of was stolen. The two plates attached to the stolen vehicle were also stolen from other vehicles. The stolen vehicle was recovered along with the stolen license plates. The female was arrested and transported to the Madera County Jail. This case was forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charges.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, June 6 at 9:32 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding a vandalism report. The case will be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review.

Oakhurst missing person returns
On Wednesday, June 6 at 1:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched for a missing person report. The male subject returned home later in the evening and was removed from the missing person system.

Raymond report of domestic disturbance
On Wednesday, June 6 at 8:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding the report of a domestic disturbance. An
investigation was completed and a report was written. Forward this case to the District Attorney’s Office for review of charges filed.

Ahwahnee danger to self
On Thursday, June 7 at 12:48 p.m. a deputy was advised of a female subject sending suicidal text messages to her husband. A female subject was contacted and placed under a 72 hour mental health evaluation hold.

Ahwahnee report of adult son assaulting his mother
On Thursday, June 7 at 3:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a family disturbance involving a female victim who reported being assaulted by her adult son. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Coarsegold found property
On Thursday, June 7 at 3:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding found property. The found property was recovered and booked into the Oakhurst substation.

Nelder Grove hiker lost and found
On Thursday, June 7 at 2:04 p.m. a visiting hiker got lost in the Nelder Grove area and called for assistance. Deputies responded to the subject’s cell phone coordinates and located the subject south of California Creek. The subject was escorted back to his vehicle. The hiker had a few scratches on his legs but was otherwise uninjured.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Thursday, June 7 at 7:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a female who was harassing her neighbors, yelling and banging against neighboring walls. The involved subject was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to a hospital by EMS.

North Fork citation and release
On Thursday, June 7 at 10:55 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 274 regarding an alarm call. Upon arrival, deputies observed flashlights inside the location. Contact was made with two subjects from North Fork. The subjects were cited and released.

Oakhurst bicycles stolen
On Friday, June 8 at 8:05 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Royal Oaks Drive regarding the theft of four bicycles. There were no suspect(s) witnesses or investigative leads in this case.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, June 8 at 9:05 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Junction Drive regarding a theft of a scanner. There were no suspects, witnesses, or investigative leads in this case.

Oakhurst report of attempted theft
On Friday, June 8 at 10:01 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding an attempted theft. An investigation was conducted, and after review of video surveillance cameras, no crime was committed. Report written for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst illegal trash dump
On Friday, June 8 at 10:23 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding an illegal trash dump. There were no suspects or investigative leads in this case.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Saturday, June 9 at 4:36 p.m. a  deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Sentinel Court regarding a coroner’s case. Report to be forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner.

Oakhurst report of domestic disturbance
On Saturday, June 9 at 8:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, it
was determined no crime was committed.

Coarsegold theft
On Sunday, June 10 at 7:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a theft. The estimated value of the stolen property was less than $950. No one was seen or heard. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold theft from vehicles
On Sunday, June 10 a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding thefts from two vehicles in the parking lot of the business. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.
