MADERA COUNTY – Madera County will be holding its 6th annual Peace Officers Memorial Ceremony on Wednesday, May 8, at Courthouse Park in Madera at 12 noon.
Madera CHP Commander David Paris is hosting the event which will consist of remarks from local law enforcement and government leaders, as well as an honor guard and a 21-gun salute.
The assembly will honor those who gave their lives protecting the community and the people they loved. It will commence in front of the Madera Peace Officers Memorial, a granite monument which bears the names of eight Madera County Sworn Peace Officers killed in the line of duty.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend and join the California Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies in honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in serving the people of Madera County.
