Low Cost Rabies Clinics For Dogs, Cats, Equine

MARIPOSA — Authorities have scheduled a pair of low cost clinics to vaccinate animals in the area. The clinics are timely, since a skunk tested positive for the rabies virus in Mariposa County last week, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

In order to make sure your animals are up to date on their rabies vaccine, local animal control is holding the Annual Low Cost Rabies Clinic on Saturday, Apr. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Coulterville County Yard, located at 10343 Highway 49 North.

An additional clinic is currently scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 22 at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds.

Dog and cat rabies shots will be $6 plus county license for dogs. Equine shots will also be available at this clinic for $12.

“Please park your trailer outside the fence and leave your equine in the trailer,” organizers request. “This clinic is cash only and no other vaccinations will be available.”

Remember to bring prior vaccination records and spay certificates. If you have any questions please contact animal control at (209) 966-3615.
