OAKHURST – Sierra Mountain Little League (SMLL) now offers a Challenger Division in association with Little League International. The Challenger Division welcomes players with physical and mental challenges.
Eight kids are currently signed up and additional team members are being sought. Challenger games may be played on the field at Oakhurst Elementary School, provided the team has enough members.
Registration is ongoing. For each participant to be registered, parents or guardians should bring one proof of age document. Proof of age could include birth certificate or other original documents issued by the state. The cost for registration is $25.
Registration also requires at least three documents which show the address of the legal residents of the parent or court-appointed guardian. These could include driver’s license, utility bill and good financial record such as a credit card or loan statement.
