We are writing to show our support for District 5 Supervisor, Tom Wheeler. We know Tom well though our involvement with him in Rotary, where he is an active member. We have chosen to support his campaign for reelection because he is a hands-on supervisor, is always accessible to discuss issues, and because we feel that he genuinely cares about our community and the well-being of its citizens.
We believe that Tom’s campaign slogan “Loyalty – Honesty – Integrity” describes the man we know very well. We have lived in this community and owned local businesses here since 1982 and 1995 respectively, so we are very involved in community events.
Tom is present at almost every single event that supports our community, he not only donates personally to these events, he donates his time which is even more important. Some say this is for political gain on his part but I know for a fact that isn’t true as there are many times that Tom is not recognized for his efforts, nor does he want to be. Tom sacrificially gives of his time for the good of our community and it shows. Through his efforts as supervisor, we have more services here, we have better roads, better fire and sheriff’s protection and better representation for our county because of Tom.
We believe that Tom does use common sense in his dealings. As business owners, we know that it is impossible to please every single person but we do believe that Tom listens and takes the action that he feels is best for the overall good of his constituents. We would like to encourage you to get out and vote on June 5th but also to vote to keep Tom Wheeler as our District 5 Supervisor for another term. A vote for Tom is a vote for our community.
