Haunted House Scares Up $1,000 For Fire Victims

OAKHURST – After all the zombies shuffled off, and Jason and Freddie moved away to stalk their next victims, the aftermath of the Oakhurst Mountain Lions’ 7th Annual Haunted House resulted in a donation of $1,000 to benefit victims of the recent Oakhurst fires.

The creepy event took place over the Halloween weekend and was a huge success, both financially and ghoulishly.

Lions Gail Hawksworth and Wayanne Markley presented the hefty check to Yosemite Bank’s Don Eaves for the Fire Victims Assistance Fund.

Oakhurst Mountain Lions Club would like to thank all the volunteers who donated their time, effort and wild imaginations to the execution of the Haunted House, as well as all those who came out to be scared out of their wits at their most successful Halloween event ever.
