Fresno Art Museum Re-opening Remains on Hold for a Little Longer

FRESNO — The week of March 15, 2021, marked FAM being closed due to COVID-19 for one whole year (except for a few weeks in October 2020). Thanks to all of you who care about the Museum. They are as vital as ever and are ready to seamlessly reopen and sooner rather than later!

Although Fresno County has moved to the red tier, FAM must remain closed for a while longer due to critical building repairs. The chiller that regulates their indoor temperature is currently scheduled to be replaced in mid-May 2021 by the City of Fresno, and shortly thereafter, the track lighting in one of their major galleries will be replaced with the help of Electric Motor Shop. Then they will be able to reopen the Museum to you.

They hope to welcome you back to the museum, with all safety protocols in place, in June 2021.

They thank you for your understanding and for your patience! In the meantime, please do visit their exhibitions at the online Gallery Guide, join them for a variety of virtual tours and classes, and read the news below about upcoming museum activities.

They appreciate you!
