Free Showing Of A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

OAKHURST — Grab someone you love and get ready for an afternoon of nostalgia as the Oakhurst Branch Library invites everyone to a free family movie matinee, celebrating gratitude.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will be screened on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. in the library’s community room.

Water, soda and popcorn will be available to purchase for a discounted price by making a donation to the Friends of the Oakhurst Library.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is the tenth prime-time animated TV special based upon the popular comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It was originally aired on the CBS network on November 20, 1973, and won an Emmy Award the following year. As of 2018, the special continues to be aired every November in prime time, now on the ABC network.[1] It was the third holiday special after A Charlie Brown Christmas in 1965 and It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown in 1966.
