Free Event For Home Gardeners

MADERA – Learn how to care for your camellias at a free workshop hosted by Madera County Master Gardeners on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Master Gardener Carole Chavin will demonstrate the care and feeding of these beautiful flowering plants at the Madera Community College Center, 30277 Avenue 12, Room 3A, located at the rear of the campus near the Three Sisters Demonstration Garden.

There is no charge for this workshop and free parking is available in Parking Lot C. No reservations are necessary.

3rd Annual Tea PartyThe Master Gardeners also invite everyone to an afternoon tea, complete with delightful treats and friends old and new, on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Frank Bergon Senior Center, 238 South D Street in Madera, from 1 to 3 p.m.

All proceeds from the 3rd Annual Tea Party will benefit the Three Sisters Demonstration Garden. Along with tea, treats and sweets there will be a silent auction. Cost is $20 per person or $35 for an adult and child under 12 years of age.
