Fire Survivors And Responders Dinner

AHWAHNEE – The nice folks at Ahwahnee Heating and Air Conditioning have teamed up with the nice folks at The Hitching Post to offer the community a special dinner intended to help those whose homes were lost in recent fires, and to thank everyone who helped put those fires out, and to bring everyone together for a meal in the process.

Bill and Sue Kurtley and their daughter Pam say, “we welcome everyone to come join us for our benefit and appreciation dinner,” scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 9 at The Hitching Post in Ahwahnee, from 5 to 10 p.m.

“All money raised will be distributed to anyone impacted by the Courtney and Junction Fires,” continue the Kurtleys. “In appreciation, all emergency personnel who responded to these fires will receive a free dinner.”

Tickets are $10, sold in advance and at the door. When the Kurtleys say all the money is going to the cause, they mean all the money: according to the family, this is a fundraiser where all proceeds are being donated, not just the profits. The cost of dinner is being underwritten by the sponsors and the full donation dollar amount goes to fire-stricken families.

“The menu is spaghetti dinner with bread and salad, along with desserts available for purchase, as well. Advance ticket purchases are appreciated and available by calling Ahwahnee Heating & Air at (559) 683-5597.”
