MARIPOSA–The Yosemite Gateway Prescribed Burn Cooperative and University of California Cooperative Extension are organizing the following free monthly webinar series. These are to help arm residents with the knowledge and tools necessary to mitigate the effects of wildfires.

This webinar will include two insurance brokers from Mariposa and Madera counties to inform us on the state of fire insurance in our counties. This webinar will cover the market, current legislative steps, history, and basic education of fire insurance.

We will be talking about Firewise Communities with representatives from Coarsegold Resource Conservation District and Mariposa County Fire Department.
This webinar will cover what is a Firewise community and the steps to become one.
