Protecting Citizens from Government Overreach
Two speakers will be addressing proposed and potential taxes increases, regulations and laws that threaten Madera residents.
Fresno City Councilman Steve Brandau will talk about the battle between Trump vs. California, Needs vs. Wants and the sanctuary city controversy in the state. He will also cover the recent Rental Housing Improvement Act legislation passed in Fresno and recommend how to stop this government overreach from taking place in Madera County for rental property owners. Steve Brandau was one of the founders of the Central Valley Tea Party in Fresno and a popular, dynamic speaker.
John Pero will address reasons Madera County citizens and the Madera Republican Central Committee are recommending a NO vote on Measure L and why the sales tax increase is not a good idea for Madera County residents. Important information citizens may not know about measure L, plus solutions of how to fund Fire and Safety Departments without a tax increase are at http://www.noonmeasurel.org and will be discussed at the meeting.
