The 2024 Motherlode Youth Summit is a regional event for 7th to 12th grade students to meet for learning, discussion, and problem solving the issue of commercial tobacco in our rural communities.
This event is a collaboration between the Tobacco Education Programs of Mariposa, Calaveras, Amador, and Tuolumne County, which is hosting the event. Agenda items include speakers, a photovoice project, an art contest, and an environmental clean-up.
Registration is required. 7th to 12th grade students are encouraged to register on Event Brite before 4/30/2024: https://tinyurl.com/Motherlode-Youth-Summit

Thanks to generous sponsorship from Anthem Blue Cross and Adventist Health Sonora, there will be prizes, giveaways, and free food for all participants.
Participating youth will network with other civic-minded youth who care about their rural communities, joining forces with other 7th to 12th grade students from throughout the region, learning leadership skills and strategies to fight the tobacco empire.
