Enter a Pumpkin in the Madera District Fair and Earn $5 in Food Bucks!

MADERA — A bit of “Fair Time” competition can be had at the Oct. 30 & 31 Madera Fair Drive Thru Treats socially safe event. Folks of all ages can enter a carved or decorated pumpkin to be set aglow and displayed along the route. All exhibitors receive $5 in Fair Food Bucks to be used on either day of the Drive Thru Treats event. Exhibitors simply complete an online entry form at maderafair.com/treats. One entry per exhibitor.

The Madera Fair will host a handy curbside drop-off for registered pumpkins on Thursday, Oct. 29, at the fairground’s office, located at 1850 W. Cleveland Ave.

Fair Food Bucks will be distributed at time of drop-off.

Madera Fair Drive Thru Treats will operate from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday evening and 2 – 10 p.m. on Saturday to the delight of fair food enthusiasts who can drive thru and indulge in their annual fair food favorites.

The Drive Thru Fair Food event is free for guests to enter by vehicle. All guests will remain in their vehicle while concession staff will take orders and serve fair food favorites to go.

Socially safe and contactless Drive Thru Trick or Treating is set for Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Two ticketed time slots are available for vehicle passes: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Saturday’s drive thru trick or treat.

Decorated booths and spaces, hosted by local businesses, clubs and residents will dot the route where trick or treaters can gather candy. Vehicle passes are available online for only $5.

Guests will receive two telescoping butterfly nets with their purchased vehicle pass upon entering the gates.

Having taken advisement from State and County guidelines, Madera District Fair staff, concessionaires and volunteers are prepared to manage a safe, family fun event at one of Madera County’s most beloved places. Face masks, gloves and social distancing will be in place as Madera District Fair looks to bring out your favorite fair foods, fall spirit and trick or treating!
