OAKHURST – The Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2014 Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Business of the Year, and Executive Director’s awards.
“The entire Eastern Madera County mountain community is invited to join us as we celebrate and honor the 2014 award recipients, recognize the 2014 outgoing chamber board and welcome the new incoming 2015 chamber board,” said Darin J. Soukup, Executive Director of the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce.
“This is our second year with a new format where we openly welcome all friends, family, and neighbors of the award recipients to attend as we recognize the honorees’ many years of selfless service to our community.”

In addition, the Chamber’s award selection committee is extremely proud to be able to present a Lifetime Achievement Award this year. The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest possible honor the Chamber may bestow and is presented only to those who have shown extraordinary contributions to the community through many, many years of service. The 2014 Lifetime Achievement honoree with be revealed during the evening of the awards ceremony.
The award recipients will be honored at the 2015 Installation Dinner & Award Ceremony on Friday, Jan. 16, at the Tenaya Lodge in Fish Camp. This is a special evening to welcome the new 2015 Chamber Board of Directors and honor those who go above and beyond in our community.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. for the reception, dinner begins at 7 p.m., followed by the awards presentation. The dinner cost is $40 per person with Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite offering a special $119 overnight room rate. A round-trip shuttle service at $15 per person is being offered by Discover Yosemite.
