Wallace Reid Martin
February 6, 1944 – March 24, 2022
Wallace Reid Martin passed away at his home in Oakhurst after a lengthy illness at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Mary Lou; his sister Sandra, his eldest son Jacob and his wife Rachel; two grandsons Benjamin and James of Montana and his younger son Joshua and his wife Leeann of California. He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Rufus Martin and mother, Elvira Martin.

He was born and raised in the state of California. He attended Bass Lake Elementary, Sierra High School and graduated from Fresno State with a bachelor’s degree. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the City of Fresno. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time in nature, a tradition passed down to his sons and their families.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Palm Memorial – Sierra Chapel, located at 49269 Road 426, Oakhurst, CA.
