OAKHURST – A single-vehicle crash slowed traffic for a little over an hour on Highway 41 north of Cedar Valley this afternoon.
At about 1:43 p.m., CHP received reports of an overturned white sedan blocking the southbound lane about 1/2-mile north of the Cedar Valley turnoff.
When first responders arrived at scene they found a Lexus RX 350 on its roof with three people inside.
According to CHP, the occupants were a man and woman from Korea and their adult son.
All three were extracted from the vehicle and evaluated by Sierra Ambulance personnel. All suffered only minor injuries and were transported by ground ambulance to a Valley hospital.
Evidence at the scene showed that the car went off the right side of the wet roadway and traveled up the steep embankment, which caused it to overturn.
One-lane traffic control was put in place for about an hour as the scene was cleared.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
