Sports fans in the mountain area will be glad to know that they can now find NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and Collegiate sports apparel, headwear, novelties, gifts, autographs, sports cards and much more at the new Bedolla Sports Store in the Historic Village in Coarsegold.
Chris and Stephany Bedolla moved to the area from Indiana in October 2011, to be closer to Chris’s dad, James. It was right in the heart of football season, and when they went looking for team shirts and hats, they were told that they would have to go to Fresno to find them.
“We did some research and found that almost 40% of everyone within 30 minutes of Coarsegold was a sports fan,” says Chris. “We are passionate about sports, and also about being able to shop locally.”
Chris has quite a background in a wide variety of sports. “Over the last 30 years, I have participated in basketball, football, cross country, track and field, swimming, diving, wrestling, softball and tennis. I have held multiple records in cross country and track & field in multiple states including Indiana, Illinois and Michigan.” Chris is the true definition of an all-around sports fanatic, and he’s ready and willing to talk sports with anyone, about any team, at any time.
Chris and Stephany’s 8-year-old son, Phoenix, attends Coarsegold Elementary and actively participates in cross country and track and field. The family is currently working on a program to benefit local teams and organizations, including monetary donations based on purchases through Bedolla Sports.
