Animal Disaster Team Training Workshop

OAKHURST – Last year’s fires inspired lots of mountain folks to ask how they could help. Before this year’s fire season gets underway, an opportunity to participate is available with the Central California Animal Disaster Team (CCADT).

CCADT is currently recruiting members, and is offering training at a workshop in Oakhurst on Wednesday, May 27, from 6 to 8 p.m.

“Introduction to the CCADT” Core Training Workshop will be held at the Yosemite Gateway Association of Realtors Conference Room, at 40298 Junction Drive next to Sears.

During this free presentation, the following topics will be discussed:

  • Mission & Purpose of the CCADT
  • Community Partnerships
  • Types of Volunteer Positions
  • Training Requirements
  • Review of Policies & Procedures
  • Deployment: Preparation and What to Expect
  • Community Outreach Events
