33rd Annual Oakhurst Sierra Rotary Crab Feed

OAKHURST – Cast your eyes toward one of the best and most festive dinner events the area has to offer, as the annual Rotary Club of Oakurst Sierra Crab Feed returns to the Oakhurst Community Center on Saturday, Feb. 2. Doors open at 6 p.m.

This year, the event falls on Groundhog Day — what could be more appropriate than an all-you-can-eat dinner?

Rotary’s Crab Feed typically serves about 1,600 lbs. of sweet, west coast Dungeness crab, and the high-decibel evening usually raises about $15,000. Raffle tickets, door prizes and a full, no-host bar will be available.

“The community comes together for fun, fellowship and fabulous auction and raffle items,” say organizers of the event, “so bring your bib, your drawn butter and your appetite and make plans to join us!”

Ticket to the big crab feed at the Oakhurst Community Center are $45 each, for a meal that includes bread, salad, pasta and all-you-can-eat crab. All proceeds from the fundraiser are donated locally toward scholarships and community projects.

Buy tickets here or call Nick Schneider at 559-683-5500. The event is sponsored in part by Sierra Tel.

The Oakhurst Community Center is located at 39800 Road 425B.
