Squirrel Cage Theatre Presents "Spring Fling"

NORTH FORK – Squirrel Cage Theatre Co. brings back favorite acts from past shows and exciting new talent as they present their annual Spring Fling on Saturday, Apr. 25, at the Town Hall.

The show will feature a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from a 60s girls group to soul, bluegrass, 70s rock and folk.

Opening the show will be David Novell and Chuck Thrapp as the fabulous Blues Brothers. Other acts include the lovely and talented Bon Buns, played by Al Flory, Steve Sims and Jim Bradley.

A crowd favorite will be revived after many requests from the community – “Cows With Guns” will be performed by Sugar Pine’s David Novell, Robyn Flory, Chuck Thrapp and former member Gina Clugston.

Some new acts this season include “The Tonettes,” featuring Gail Sims, Robyn Flory, Karen McAleece and Sue Novell. “Stacey & the ‘B’-Siders” spotlights Stacey Multani, backed up by David Novell and Jeff Gurule; and “The Narrow Gauge Ramblers” brings you the sounds of Randy Sisk, David Novell and Jeff Gurule. Music from the Beatles and Crosby, Stills and Nash will round off the evening as John Kilburn, Rich Sirois and Gina Clugston take the stage.

Roz Thrapp will be orchestrating things in the kitchen, preparing chicken, baked potatoes, green salad and her famous rolls. Desserts will be available for purchase and the North Fork Boosters will be offering a no-host bar as always.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6, and the show starts at 7 p.m.

Adults are just $12 for dinner and the show, children 12 and under are just $6, and the immediate family is $30.

This year’s show is one night only, so be sure to catch this Saturday night performance.
