Smart Start (Free) For Teenage Drivers

Start Smart graphicOAKHURST — The Oakhurst Area CHP invites those students and parents who are entering the world of teenage driving to attend a “Start Smart” presentation at the Oakhurst Branch Library on Saturday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is offered by CHP Office Kaci Lutz and there is no charge for the workshop.

Start Smart is a program designed to provide teens and their parents/guardians with an interactive safe driving awareness class which will illustrate how poor choices behind the wheel of a vehicle can affect the lives of numerous people.

Start Smart also focuses on the responsibilities on newly licensed drivers, responsibilities of parents/guardians, and collision avoidance techniques. If you have any questions regarding the class, or to reserve a spot, contact Public Information Officer Kaci Lutz at 559-658-6611.
