Sierra Mountain Little League All Stars Tonight

OAKHURST — Sometimes the best sports are in your own back yard. This week, the mountain area has three teams playing in the All Star Tournament at our home field in Oakhurst.

Sierra Mountain Little League

Our district is made up of leagues all the way from Selma to as far north as Chowchilla. Every year at the end of the season, each league selects their best players and groups them together based on age. Each League is a part of district that is made up of several other leagues.

For the first time, Sierra Mountain Little League has three teams playing the tournament.

In the 11-12 division, it is possible to advance all the way to the Little League World Series played in Williamsport, PA. Last year, a team from South Korea played a team from New York in the Little League World Series.

It’s an incredibly fun and competitive tournament to be involved in and our kids would love the support of everyone in our community. This week we will be hosting Sanger, Riverpark (Fresno) and Madera.

Our League is considerably smaller than most of the other leagues and our kids can use your support. So come out, buy a hot dog and some peanuts from the snack shed and enjoy our kids playing one of the greatest sports ever! Many thanks for the hard work of our coaches, board members, volunteers and athletes.

All games are played at the Little League Field behind the Oakhurst Community Center.
