Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Dec. 6

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week of Sunday, Nov. 29 through Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015.

Coarsegold assault
On Sunday, Nov. 29 at 2:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 45400 block of Meadow Brook Road regarding a report of an assault. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing related charge.

Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, Nov. 29 at 2:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 30700 block of Titan Drive regarding a report of a burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Sunday, Nov. 29 at 8:13 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a disturbance at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. During the disturbance a glass door was broken. The suspect was later contacted and released. A report was taken. Submit to DA’s Office for prosecution.

Coarsegold disturbance
On Sunday, Nov. 29 at 9:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 Block of Apache Road regarding a possible domestic disturbance. Investigation concluded there was a verbal argument, and due to no tenancy agreement the male subject involved in the argument was told to leave the property and he was not allowed to return.

Bass Lake burglary
On Monday, Nov. 30 at 1:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to telephone a male regarding a report of a vehicle burglary. Per the complainant the burglary occurred while he was hiking off Beasore Road and Cold Springs Summit. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coroner’s Report
On Monday, Nov. 30 at 5:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 48000 block of Victoria Lane regarding a welfare check on a subject who had not been seen or answering his door. Subject found to be deceased in the house. Case to go to Chief Coroner.

Coarsegold stalking
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 3:36 a.m. a deputy responded to the 36000 block of Mattie Fry Road for a report of a disturbance. After contacting the victim, and conducting an investigation, the suspect was identified and charges of stalking were filed with the DA’s office.

Oakhurst report of court order violation
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 9:04 a.m. a deputy spoke to female in the Oakhurst Substation lobby regarding suspected violation of court order. Upon further investigation there does not appear to be a violation at this time.

Coarsegold man in distress
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 10:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Jim Bowie Ct in Coarsegold regarding an adult male who just threatened to commit suicide. The subject was transported by ambulance to a hospital for an mental health evaluation.

Oakhurst road rage
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 11:08 a.m. a deputy responded to a residence in the 38000 block of CA-41 regarding threats made after a road rage incident. No suspect has been identified at this time.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 12:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact a victim of a theft from his storage unit located in the 40000 block of greenwood way. Victim reported that when he went to his storage unit the pad lock on his unit was not his pad lock. The victim cut the pad lock and noticed there were items missing from the unit. Report was taken.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 12:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Buckskin Lane in regards to a family disturbance involving a father and his adult son. Upon arrival the reporting party was contacted. The involved son left the area before the deputy arrived. He was later contacted via telephone. Report was taken for documentation only. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst suspicious person
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 2:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Road 425B in regards to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, the person had left the area. Several areas were checked, however, the person was not located. A statement was obtained from an employee and a description was obtained. The employee reports a rise in thefts in the recent months. It is believed that the suspicious male may be involved. Report taken for documentation only.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6:32 p.m. deputies conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 222 / CA 41. A subject was contacted with an outstanding warrant and was in possession of a narcotic smoking pipe. The subject was cited out.This report is for the warrant arrest. Close the case.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6:32 p.m. deputies conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 222 / CA 41. A passenger had an outstanding arrest warrant out of southern California. During a search the subject had a narcotic smoking device. The subject was cited for said device. Forward to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 12:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact a male at the Oakhurst Substation who was turning in found property. A wallet and ID was booked into the property room. An attempt to locate the owner was made with negative results. Case is to be closed.

Ahwahnee woman in distress
On Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 8:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Nipp Ln regarding a report of an adult female who just sent a message to her ex-husband saying she was going to harm herself in front of their son, age five. The female/patient was placed on a mental health hold and transported by ambulance to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. This case is also to be forwarded to CPS regarding the unsanitary living conditions at the patient’s residence.

North Fork mail theft
On Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 9:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Manzanita Lake Drive and Road 222 in regards to a theft from a community mailbox cluster. The victim was contacted in person and a statement was obtained. The mailbox was examined and found to be undamaged. There were no suspect(s) or physical evidence in this case. Report to be closed.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 11:51 a.m. a deputy was contacted while on patrol regarding theft of mail from a locked Post Office Box located at Meca Lane and CA-41 in Coarsegold. No investigative leads. Subject made a report with Post Office general also.

Coarsegold Coroner’s Report
On Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 2:27 p.m. a deputy received a report of a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst warrant citations
On Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 4:08 p.m. a deputy was on patrol between Hwy 49 and Rd 426 on Hwy 41 when he spotted a subject who had four active warrants for his arrest. The deputy made contact with the subject and issued him citations for the warrants.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 4:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 35000 block of CA-41 when a third party called in a report of domestic violence. The female was uncooperative and stated the male had slashed a tire but they had only had a verbal argument. No charges to be filed.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Thursday, Dec. 3 at 3:30 a.m. deputies conducted a vehicle check on a suspicious vehicle near ca-49 and Oakview Drive. During the investigation two subjects were placed into custody and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections. Subjects were booked and charges were filed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Thursday, Dec. 3 at 12:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of Wells Road in regards to a residential burglary. The owner of the residence in currently incarcerated in Oklahoma. The reporting party was the property owner’s mother. No physical evidence was located at the scene.

O’Neals vandalism
On Thursday, Dec. 3 at 3:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 200 in regards to a vandalism report. Upon arrival the victim was contacted. No physical evidence was located at the scene. Additional follow up investigation into this case will be conducted next week. Case suspended at this time.

Ahwahnee warrants arrest
On Thursday, Dec. 3 at 2:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Rd 621 for a suspicious persons call regarding a subject who was seen driving up and down the roadway and was then parked in a turn-out near the residence. The deputy arrived and found the parked vehicle with no one around. While the deputy was searching the area for the subject, the deputy located the subject. When the deputy went to arrest the subject on warrants the subject resisted arrested and ran. Subject was arrested and was booked into the county jail.

Oakhurst man in distress
On Thursday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Madera Behavioral Health Services regarding a male threatening staff members in the lobby. The male was placed on a mental health hold and transported to a hospital for mental health evaluation.

Oakhurst juvenile arrested
On Friday, Dec. 4 at 00:28 a.m. a deputy dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-49 regarding a male subject hitting the wall in his mothers house. Dispatch later advised the reporting party/victim was touched while she was sleeping by her younger brother. Report written, evidence obtained, juvenile brother arrested, Rap generated, and case forwarded to Madera County Juvenile Probation department for charges to be filed. Case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Friday, Dec. 4 at 8 a.m. a deputy contacted a subject in the parking lot of a business in the 40000 block of CA-41 who had a misdemeanor warrant. Subject was cited on the warrant.

Coarsegold identity theft
On Friday, Dec. 4 at 10:45 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact a female victim at the Oakhurst Substation regarding a report of identity theft. There no leads at this time. Case is to be closed.

North Fork shots fired
On Friday, Dec. 4 at 11:32 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact an adult male by phone regarding a report of a subject who was shooting from a moving vehicle. The incident was reported to have occurred 3 days prior on 12/1/15 in the area of Road 225 and Road 233. There were no leads. This report is for documentation and is to be closed.

Ahwahnee narcotics
On Friday, Dec. 4 at 3:36 p.m. a deputy was notified of a possible butane honey oil lab dump on Road 600 south of Indian Rock Road. Deputy responded to the location and found remnants of a butane honey oil lab discarded on the side of the road. Evidence was collected at the scene. The investigation is being forwarded to the Madera County Narcotic Enforcement Team.

Oakhurst lost property
On Friday, Dec. 4 at 9:08 p.m. deputies responded to the 40000 block of Redbud Drive for a lost property report.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Saturday, Dec. 5 at 11:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Jean Road East regarding vandalism to a sign. Report taken. Case to go to District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Oakhurst theft
On Saturday, Dec. 5 at 12:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Pierce lake Drive regarding a theft. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst dog bite
On Saturday, Dec. 5 at 10:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 426 regarding a dog bite report. Report taken. Case to be sent to Animal Control.

Oakhurst property lost
On Sunday, Dec. 6 at 12:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact the reporting party regarding a lost back pack in the area of Road 426 between Highway 41 and Road 425b. Report taken and area checked for back pack. Report to be closed.

Bass Lake theft
On Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 432 and Mallard Road for a found purse. The owner was located and the purse was returned to her. A cell phone was taken from the purse. Report written and closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Sunday, Dec. 6 at 11:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 and Yosemite Springs Parkway to assist the California Highway Patrol on a traffic stop. Investigation concluded the two occupants in the vehicle had been in a physical domestic dispute and the male subject was arrested and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections.
