Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Aug. 20

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Aug. 14, to Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017.

Ahwahnee residential burglary
On Monday, Aug. 14, at 6:38 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 59000 block of Road 601 regarding a residential burglary. Due to the lack of investigative leads, witnesses, and suspect(s) the case is closed.

Oakhurst trespassing
On Monday, Aug. 14, at 7:51 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 423 in regards to a possible trespasser. The subject was located and found to have a warrant. The subject was cited then released for the warrant. Case closed.

Oakhurst prowler
On Monday, Aug. 14, at 11:38 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 and Allen Rd. regarding a prowler in the area snooping around with a flashlight. An adult male suspect was located on Allen Rd. The suspect was found in possession of a concealed weapon and burglary tools. The suspect was booked at DOC. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst wanted suspect arrested
On Monday, Aug. 14, at 11:42 p.m., deputies were conducting warrant services in the town of Oakhurst when they received information regarding the whereabouts of a wanted subject. An investigation ensued and the subject was located. They were arrested, transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections for a felony warrant. Case closed by arrest.

Coarsegold theft in casino parking lot
On Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 12:45 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Chukchansi Casino located within the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in Coarsegold, regarding a report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for follow up investigation.

Oakhurst parolee in possession of narcotics
On Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 1:44 a.m., deputies were conducting warrant services when a male subject was contacted in the 42000 block of Springwood Road. The male subject was found to be on probation and pursuant to search, was found to be in possession of narcotics. He was arrested, transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections. Case closed by arrest.

North Fork fraud case
On Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a report of fraud which occurred in the 31000 block of Walker Summit Ct. in North Fork. Report taken and case closed.

Oakhurst domestic dispute
On Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 1:19 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to 42000 block [street not given] for a domestic dispute. Involved parties were contacted, statements were obtained, photos were taken and logged into evidence. Report was written and forwarded to the Madera County D/A’s Office for prosecution.

Bass Lake reckless boater DUI arrest
On Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 6:19 p.m., a deputy responded to a report of a reckless boater on Bass Lake narrowly missing a downed skier by the dam. The boat was located docking at a marina and driver was contacted. An investigation was conducted and the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol exceeding the legal limit. Subject was arrested and a report was written.

North Fork outstanding warrants arrest
On Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 11:07 a.m., a deputy stopped an off highway vehicle on the roadway in the area of Road 222/ Old Town Road in North Fork. The rider had outstanding arrest warrants out of Fresno County. The subject was arrested and booked into jail. Close the case.

Coarsegold vehicle burglary
On Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 12:55 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block Glacier Drive regarding a vehicle burglary. Case should be closed at this time due to lack of leads.

Coarsegold indecent photographs
On Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 2:05 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the lobby at the Oakhurst Substation located 48000 Liberty Drive regarding indecent photographs sent to a minor’s cell phone from an adult ex boyfriend. Forward to detectives.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 3:48 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Miami Way regarding a vandalism. Case should be closed at this time due to lack of leads.

North Fork misdemeanor warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 3:58 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Timberview Road regarding a female who was possibly 5150 W&I. After deputy arrived on scene, it was determined female subject was not 5150 W&I, but was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant and booked into DOC.

Bass Lake public intoxication
On Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 6:13 p.m., deputies responded to the area of the 54000 block of Road 432 for an intoxicated subject. Subject was contacted and placed under arrest for public intoxication .

North Fork vandalism
On Thursday, Aug. 17, at 8:39 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Tera Tera Ranch Road in North Fork regarding a vandalism. Ongoing neighbor dispute. No evidence to implicate the suspect. A report taken for documentation purposes close the case.

Coarsegold dispute with hatchet and handgun
On Thursday, Aug. 17, at 10:51 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the block of 33000 Robin Hood Drive regarding a subject had been assaulted. The parties involved brandished a hatchet and the other party brandished a handgun. Refer report to the DA’s office for review of charges.

Coarsegold felony assault and vandalism
On Thursday, Aug. 17, at 11:29 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Road 417 and Modoc Rd in Coarsegold CA in regards to a felony assault and vandalism. A report was taken and evidence collected. Deputies attempted to locate the suspect with negative results. A warrantless arrest declaration was completed. Forward the case to the Madera DA for charges.

North Fork vehicle burglary
On Thursday, Aug. 17, at 10:45 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Cougar Drive regarding a vehicle burglary. Report should be closed at this time pending further leads.

Oakhurst found property
On Thursday, Aug. 17, at 7:59 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Pine Ridge Way regarding found property. Case for documentation purposes only.

North Fork burglary report
On Thursday, Aug. 17, at 7:40 p.m., deputies responded to the area of the 34000 block of Road 223 for a burglary report. A report was generated and later closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold possession of controlled substance
On Friday, Aug. 18, at 12:46 a.m., a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on CA 41 and Road 417 in Coarsegold. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. All evidence was booked at the sheriff’s office. The driver was cited and released. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Coarsegold found wallet
On Friday, Aug. 18, at 9:48 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA 41 in Coarsegold CA regarding a found wallet. The wallet was picked up and booked. Send a letter to the property owner who resides out of state. Close the case.

Oakhurst theft of gas from vehicle
On Friday, Aug. 18, at 10:53 a.m., a deputy responded to a business in the 49000 block of Chapel Hill regarding theft of gas from a vehicle. No positive identification of suspects possible at this time due to low quality video.

Coarsegold missing property recovered
On Friday, Aug. 18, at 11:25 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation, regarding missing property from the 47000 block of Shawnee Avenue. Deputy recovered the missing item and returned it to owner. Report for documentation purposes only.

Coarsegold stolen vehicle arrest
On Friday, Aug. 18, at 1:44 p.m., a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of CA 41 and Lucky Lane in Coarsegold which resulted in the driver arrested and booked for a stolen vehicle, suspended drivers license, false registration tabs. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Coarsegold threats
On Friday, Aug. 18, at 4:58 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a telephonic report regarding threats from the area of 31000 Apache Road in Coarsegold. A report was taken for documentation purposes only.

Coarsegold possible missing person
On Friday, Aug. 18, at 7:31 p.m., deputies responded to the 42000 block of Long Hollow Dr for a possible runway/missing person. RP was the great grandmother. The juvenile was located at his mother’s house in Fresno during the investigation.

Coarsegold lost computer tablet
On Saturday, Aug. 19, at 6:29 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in Coarsegold CA in regards to someone who lost a computer tablet. A report was taken. Close the case.

Oakhurst intoxicated person at library
On Saturday, Aug. 19, at 11:42 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 Civic Circle regarding an intoxicated subject at the Oakhurst Library. The subject was located and he was extremely intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to MDOC where he was booked. The subject has a history of being drunk and he was combative during arrest/transport. Deputy is requesting this report be forwarded to the DA’s office for charges filed.

Oakhurst found property
On Saturday, Aug. 19, at 5:54 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation regarding found property. After not being able to contact the owner, property was booked as safekeeping. Report for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst stolen bicycles
On Sunday, Aug. 20, at 5:55 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an apartment complex located within the 48000 block of River Park Road in Oakhurst, regarding a report of two stolen bicycles. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.
