RAYMOND – Veterans Day is this week and the community at Raymond-Knowles school has come up with a fine tradition to honor the occasion, with proceeds going to a very good cause.
There’s still time to register for the second-ever Raymond-Knowles School 5K and one-mile Veterans Day Run, at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11. The cost to register is $15 for kids and $25 for adults. Participants will be splashed with red and blue color while making their way to the finish line of a beautiful countryside course.
The one-mile portion of the race is fully accessible.
All proceeds will go to benefit the Fisher House Foundation, best known for providing a network of comfort lodging where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.
Raymond Knowles School is located at 31828 Road 600 in Raymond.
