NF Fire Dept. Auxiliary BBQ This Saturday

NORTH FORK – The North Fork Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will host their annual Tri-Tip BBQ on Saturday, Apr. 27 at the North Fork School from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This eagerly anticipated annual event is popular not only for the delicious BBQ lunch, but for the huge array of silent auction items and drawings.Local merchants and artists are always very generous with their donations, and people can choose which prizes to vie for by dropping their raffle ticket stubs into selected bags for specific drawings.

The BBQ lunch will include tri-tip, beans, salad, a roll and a drink, and as always the North Fork Women’s Club will have a wide variety of desserts available for purchase. Take-out is available.

The silent auction will close and raffle drawings will begin at 2 p.m. There will also be t-shirts and aprons for sale with the North Fork Volunteer Fire Department logo.

This popular event is just one of the ways the Fire Department Auxiliary has raised money over the past decade to provide equipment and items needed by our firefighters, in addition to tens of thousands of dollars toward the construction of the new Fire Station #11, scheduled to be dedicated on Friday, May 10.

The public is cordially invited to the ceremony, and the Auxiliary wants to thank the entire community for their generous and continued support over the past years.

Tickets are $8 at the door, $7 pre-sale from Auxiliary members, seniors are $6 and kids under 10 are $5.

For more information call Linda Gott-Maddox in the evening at 559-877-4458.
