O’NEALS — This year was the first basketball season for the Minarets JV girls team.
In 2012-2013, Minarets had a JV team but, due to injuries and lack of interest, the remaining members of the team were moved up to varsity and the JV team was no more.
Three years later, Minarets finally got a girls basketball JV team. Their coach was Brett Moglia, the music teacher at Minarets. The varsity head coach, Deann Kamalini, and the assistant varsity coach, Kristi Pearson, also helped coach this team.
The team did well for their first complete season. They put a lot of effort into each game.
Their success is due to their dedication and hard work. It also helped that they scrimmaged against varsity during practice.
The Minarets High School girls JV basketball finished their season with an overall record of 5-7.
