OAKHURST — La Sierra Guild is celebrating their 20th Annual Cinco de Mayo Luncheon and Basket Raffle on Friday, May 4, with all proceeds to benefit Valley Children’s Hospital.
This year’s event will be held at the Oakhurst Community Center from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., and El Cid Restaurant is preparing delicious food for the luncheon. The meal includes an enchilada, taquitos with guacamole, rice, beans, and chips and salsa. Cake will be served for dessert. Soft drinks and water will be available for purchase. Meal donation is $15 per person.
Take-out orders can be picked up at the event if ordered in advance by April 27. Order take-out from Deb Weaver at (559) 836-3951.
La Sierra Guild members and mountain community businesses have donated dozens of beautiful gift baskets and items that will be raffled off at the luncheon. This is always a fun part of the day, say organizers, with the winning raffle tickets drawn at 1 p.m. Winners need not be present to win.
Be on the lookout for a special opportunity drawing this year for a gorgeous, handmade tw0-person patio glider. Tickets for the glider raffle will be $5 each.
