Fish Camp Fire Rescue BBQ

Fish Camp Fire Rescue AssociationFISH CAMP – Residents and others looking for a fun way to give back to those who’ve given so much to us need look no further: Fish Camp Fire Rescue invited the community to the annual Fish Camp Fire BBQ, with all the fixins.

“This year we are spending $300,000 to supplement the water supplies of our own water companies,” say organizers,”and to increase the fire suppression capabilities both here and in the surrounding communities of Wawona, Sugar Pine, and Kane Ranch as well as the surrounding communities of Wawona, Sugar Pine, and Kane Ranch, as well as the fire agencies of NPS, USFS, Cal Fire and Cedar Valley.”

The date is set for Sunday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Camp Green Meadows. Food will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., including tri-tip, secret recipe BB@ chicken, and more. The cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child 12 and under.

If you happen to be looking for some terrific bargains, you’ll want to know the Silent Auction with low opening bids begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. sharp.

A Live Auction and Raffle runs from 1 – 3 p.m. and as a special treat, Tom Bopp will be stationed at the piano.

Speaking of auctions, organizers are seeking donations for themed baskets for the Silent Auction. Possible themes could include coffee lovers, pets, cabin games and more. Please email info@fishcampca.org or donnatyosemite@sti.net if you would like to donate.
