Zoom in Fall Registration at Clovis Community College

A milestone is celebrated as student headcount for this past academic year (summer 2019, fall 2019, spring 2020) increased to 13,603 annually. Preliminary student headcount for the Fall 2020 semester is 9,066 (a 5% increase) compared to 8,602 for the Fall 2019 semester (final headcount for the Fall 2020 semester will be available in January).

About 1,491 (or 16%) are new students to Clovis Community College. Students may have opted to stay home to attend community college at $46 per unit or applied for financial aid, rather than move out of town to a UC or CSU or other university during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Student success is our focus at Clovis Community College and, in addition to the online classes, we continue to offer all student support services online, such as the Tutorial Center, Financial Aid and Psychological services. We are here to serve our students and thank them for choosing Clovis Community College,” Stephanie Babb, Director of Marketing & Communications, Clovis Community College.

Employees and student ambassadors are standing by on Zoom this week to help students during the first week. Students can login and Zoom and ask any questions about class schedules, resources, etc. They can also call or email too.

An in-depth webpage is dedicated to Online Resources for Student Success.

Student activities will continue to take place, although it will look a bit different via Zoom. It is important to offer activities, club rush, guest speakers, and more to our students and additional information will be posted soon.
