Yosemite Audubon Field Trip: Merced River Canyon to Yosemite

MOUNTAIN AREA — Yosemite Audubon invites interested parties to a field trip that covers the Merced River Canyon and with stops, makes it all the way to Yosemite.

If you’d like to come along, meet in Mariposa at 7:30 a.m. in the parking lot that’s next to the museum and across from the post office. The activity takes place on Saturday, Mar. 25 for approximately eight hours.

From there, leaders Cheryl Johnson and David Johnson will have the group travel to Midpines to bird at the community park for a short time. Next, they will head to Briceburg. After birding along the Bureau of Land Management road, they plan to make their way to El Portal for another brief stop, and then onto Yosemite to view birds and waterfalls.

An RSVP is requested. Bring lunch, snacks, water, binoculars, bird books and applications, a smile, and radios if you have them. Rain will cancel.
