The driver told CHP he had put on his signal and was turning left onto Road 274 when a Chevy Volt crested the hill from South Fork at a “high rate of speed,” failed to stop at the stop sign, and slammed into the Suburban’s passenger side, spinning it completely around.

The Chevy was driven by a female out of Coarsegold, according to CHP at the scene, and there were no passengers in the vehicle.

The Suburban was occupied by three passengers including a female in the right front seat, a male in the left rear, and a juvenile in a car seat in the right rear.
