MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has the following operations scheduled next week in Mariposa County.
State Route 49
• One-way traffic control from Harris Road to Kimbell Road near Mariposa for utility work from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
• One-way traffic control from the West Fork Chowchilla River to Bootjack Road/Darrah Road for utility work from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023.
• One-way traffic control from Sebastopol/Bootjack Road to Whitlock Road for utility work from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023.
• One-way traffic control from Varain Road to Ben Hur Road for drainage work beginning Monday, May 8, through Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Moccasin Creek to Bear Valley Road for shoulder work beginning Monday, May 8, through Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 7:00 a.m.to 3:30 p.m.
Route 140
• Moving lane closure from the Merced/Mariposa County Line to east of Trower Road for highway construction beginning Monday, May 8, through Friday, May 12, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m
• One-way traffic control at Fourth Street in Mariposa for sign work from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays or longer at times and are advised to use alternate routes, whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
