Oneal’s – Sunday at 11:10 a.m. a vegetation fire started on SR 41 near Rd. 200. The cause of the fire was a vehicle into the vegetation that was contained to 2.88 acres, thanks to the quick work of CALFIRE and Madera County Fire.

On hand battling the fire were one air tactical airplane, two air tankers, one helicopter, six CALFIRE engines, one county water tender, one CALFIRE dozer, one CALFIRE hand crew and two county fire engines.
Power lines were compromised which shut down SR 41 for two hours causing major traffic delays.
