O’NEALS — The first Minarets Mustangs victory of the football season occurred on Friday, Sept. 14 when Varsity had a win against the Tranquility Tigers with the score 60-7.
Senior Alex Sexton says, ”I was very excited because it was the first win of the season and overall the best attitude we had in the past 4 years of being a football player.”
Earlier, our Mustangs traveled to Fowler where the Fowler Redcats won with a score of 51-29.
On Friday, Sept. 21, we will be playing against Orange Cove and senior Zac DeBoer says, “they’re gonna be tough — but I think we stand a pretty good chance. There’s a lot of stuff that we know we should be doing and as long as we do it right, I think we got this.”
This game will be especially intense as we will both be featured on ABC 30’s Game of the Week feature.
