OAKHURST – Sierra Art Trails brings artists and art lovers out and around town for three days every year, and local establishments get in on the act. Tonight, Slim’s Koffee Shak invites the community to an opening reception from 6 – 8 p.m. for two artists participating in Sierra Art Trails, #55 and #56 in the Catalog respectively: Marij Bouwmans and Alex Lewis.
“The brightly painted yellow space of Slim’s is the perfect setting to take it all in, plus there will be finger-food and refreshments for all your snacking and drinking needs,” says Marij Bouwmans.
Bouwmans is showing modern paintings on oversized paper, while Lewis displays masterly crafted Manzanita wood carvings.
