Recent Stabbings In Oakhurst, Unrelated

OAKHURST – On Saturday May 8th, 2021 around 2:45pm, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) received a call reporting a domestic disturbance.

MCSO Deputies and California Highway Patrol Officers, responded to the 40000 block of CA-49 and discovered an adult male victim who appeared to have various injuries on his face and back.

A female suspect, who had a knife in hand upon law enforcement arrival on scene, was detained and questioned. During the course of the investigation, deputies determined the female physically assaulted the male victim.

The female, 40 year old Maryann Amico, was arrested and booked in at the Madera County Jail for charges of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, and inflicting corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant.

 

MCSO Detectives are currently on scene investigating an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of Wednesday May 12, 2021. There is no imminent danger to the public.

Shortly before 3:30am on 5/12/21, MCSO received a report of a stabbing in the area of Road 427 and Road 426 in Oakhurst. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted an adult female victim with injuries from a stab wound. The victim was transported via life flight to a regional hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Based on preliminary details, detectives believe this was an isolated incident. The suspect remains outstanding at this time. Detectives are actively investigating the facts related to this incident to gain a complete perspective of what transpired.
