O’NEALS – The O’Neals Fire, burning near Road 210 in the Hildreth area, is now estimated at 300 acres and is 40 percent contained.
While the estimated size of the fire has increased, there is very little smoke and firefighters are making good progress.
The fire was first reported at about 5:43 p.m. yesterday afternoon, and quickly spread through oak woodlands and grass in the ranch lands east of O’Neals.
As of last night, there were reportedly about 100 personnel assigned to the incident.
An Incident Command Post has been set up on the Mitchell Ranch.
There are no reports of structures lost.
