MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140, for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
STATE ROUTE 49
• One-way traffic control from Shilling Road to Crown Lead Road for sign/banner work beginning Monday, December 4, through Thursday, December 7, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday, December 8, 2023, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Smith Road to North State Route 140 for utility work beginning Monday, December 4, through Friday, December 8, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
STATE ROUTE 140
• One-way traffic control from Sixth Street to Twelfth Street for utility work beginning Monday, December 4, through Friday, December 8, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Triangle Road to Brice Burg for median barrier work beginning Sunday, December 3, through Friday, December 8, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Brice Burg to El Portal Road for median barrier work beginning Monday, December 3, through Friday, December 8, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Motorists can expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work will take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
