MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
STATE ROUTE 49
• One-way traffic control at Joe Howard Road for utility work beginning Saturday, April 13, through Sunday, April 14, 2024. The work will take place from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
STATE ROUTE 140
• One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Monday, April 15, 2024. The work will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Whitlock Road to El Portal Road for pavement work beginning Monday, April 15. It will end on Friday, April 19, 2024. The work will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Fifth Street to Seventh Street for utility work beginning Monday, April 15. It will end on Friday, April 12, 2024. The work will take place from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Briceburg to Savage Trading Post for pavement work beginning Sunday, April 14. It will end Friday, April 19, 2024. The work will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Bear Creek Bridge to Bull Creek Road for pavement work beginning Sunday, April 14. It will end on Friday, April 19, 2024. The work will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction related issues.
