One-Way Traffic Control Delays Expected on State Routes 49, 132 & 140

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will
conduct various operations next week on State Routes 49, 132 and 140.
Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

Route 49

• One-way traffic control at various locations from the Madera County Line in
Oakhurst to Varain Road in Mariposa for drainage work beginning Sunday,
August 30, through Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Shoulder closure from Idle Wheels Road to Joe Howard Road in Mariposa for
utility work beginning Sunday, August 30, through Thursday, September 2, 2021,
from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Shoulder closure at various locations from Triangle Road to Bear Valley Road for
utility work beginning Sunday, August 30, through Thursday, September 2, 2021,
from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Route 132

• One-way traffic control at various locations from Josefina Way in La Grange to
Route 49 in Coulterville for drainage work beginning Sunday, August 30, through
Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Route 140

• One-way traffic control from Mariposa Creek to Coakley Circle for curb, gutter and shoulder work beginning Sunday, August 29, through Friday, September 3,
2021, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Briceburg Road to Foresta Road for utility work
beginning Sunday, August 30, through Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 6:00
a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5- to 10-minute delays and take alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic
incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related
issues.
