OAKHURST — An Oakhurst woman has been taken into custody and charged with financial elder abuse.
Early this afternoon, Madera County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Kathryn (Katie) Davis at her place of employment, the Sierra Senior Center in Oakhurst.
This arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation by Sheriff’s detectives and Madera County District Attorney’s personnel into allegations of financial abuse of an elderly male from Oakhurst, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The victim was acquainted with Davis through the Senior Center.
Davis, 54, was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections on a $50,000 felony warrant for financial abuse of an elder.
No further details of the case are available at this time.
