Oakhurst Lutheran to Hold Annual Flag Day Celebration

OAKHURSTOakhurst Lutheran Church will be holding its annual Flag Day celebration on Flag Day, Tuesday, June 14th.

The celebration begins with a fundraising dinner for Semper Fi at 6 p.m. The dinner will include a pulled pork sandwich, chips, and water for a suggested $10.00 donation.

Image of the Thrivent logo. All profits from the dinner will go to Semper Fi. The dinner is being co-sponsored with a $250 grant from Thrivent for Lutherans.

The dinner will be followed by a Flag Day program that will feature lots of patriotic songs, a pledge of allegiance and a flag retirement/burning ceremony. The Flag Day program will take place in the Memorial Garden next to the Veterans’ Memorial at Oakhurst Lutheran Church, located on Road 426, across from the PG&E building.
