OAKHURST — July was a sizzling month for mountain area home sales, as reported in California Regional MLS records.
According to Ed Bailey, of Ed Bailey Realty in Oakhurst, seventy-three mountain area homes were sold in July, compared to 53 in the previous month, and 54 in July, 2019!
The number of homes sold in July was 53% higher than the average of 47.6 in the previous five months. The median purchase price was $340,000, up 13.4% over $299,750 in 2019.
EBR had only one distress sale listing at end of July, or 0.56%, of 179 total active listings. Homes sold in July were on the market an average of 93 days, and purchase price averaged 97% of asking price. Average homes size was 1,859 sq. feet. Average price per square foot was $233.10.
At the end of July, EBR had 78 home sales in escrow, with a median asking price of $340,000.
