YOSEMITE – A hiker apparently missing for weeks has been found deceased, officials announced this morning, after Yosemite National Park Rangers located the body of James Michael Millett Jr. on Tuesday, Sept. 1. His remains were found above Yosemite Valley.

On Monday, Park officials asked for the public’s help in locating Millet, who reportedly planned a day hike to Upper Yosemite Fall on Tuesday, Aug. 11. Millet had not returned to his vehicle.
No further details available at this time and an investigation is now ongoing.
